Created as part of the Forever Revitalising global brand campaign, Exploring Ancient Wonders: Uncovering 7,000 Years of AlUla's Human History invites viewers on a journey through one of Saudi Arabia’s most historically rich regions. Over four days, the film explores AlUla’s most significant ancient sites—Dadan, Hegra, and Khaybar—through the eyes of an artist documenting 7,000 years of human history and creativity. By sketching the landscapes and ruins, the artist transforms these ancient wonders into living archives, capturing the enduring essence of AlUla’s past and its ongoing impact on contemporary creativity and knowledge.

The film emphasizes AlUla’s pivotal role along the Incense Road and its long-standing connections to cultural exchange, highlighting the region's influence throughout history. But more than just an exploration of the past, the film shows how these ancient sites continue to inspire contemporary ideas and creativity. AlUla is a place where history’s beauty and wisdom converge with the present, allowing for a deeper connection between past and present. Through its majestic landscapes and timeless heritage, AlUla offers not only a journey through history but also a space for personal reflection and artistic inspiration.

Our approach to AlUla’s heritage focused on intimacy rather than grandeur—highlighting the personal human imprint behind centuries of history. Instead of treating the past as something static, we portrayed it as something living: layered, emotional, and deeply intertwined with identity. The storytelling framed archaeology not as excavation, but as revelation—inviting audiences to feel history rather than simply observe it.
